Many of Clear Lake High School’s football players, including Felipe Sturr, were in attendance Tuesday evening during a candlelight vigil for Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy Rob Rumfelt, who also served as an assistant football coach and varsity defensive coordinator at Clear Lake. The vigil took place at Library Park in Lakeport where friends and colleagues of Rumfelt shared some stories and memories. A service for Rumfelt will be held Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. at Don Owens Stadium on the Clear Lake High School campus in Lakeport. Rumfelt was killed in the line of duty Aug. 22 in Lakeport.
