Same smile but a new uniform and a new team for former Upper Lake High School volleyball and basketball standout Natalie Karlsson, who opened her collegiate career for College of the Siskiyous on Wednesday afternoon at Mendocino College in Ukiah where the Eagles played Mendocino and Los Medanos in a split doubleheader. Karlsson, one of two setters for College of the Siskiyous, which is located in Weed, helped the Eagles beat Mendocino College 25-15, 25-20, 25-20. Los Medanos won the late match, beating College of the Siskiyous in a five-set marathon, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22, 28-30, 15-12.
