LAKEPORT >> Lake County Theatre Company’s upcoming irreverent but delightful musical, “The Producers,” is a product of the community. Talented members of Lake County have come together to bring this comedy to the stage.

They have careers focused on bettering our community, city, state, and nation. Six are in the teaching field, two in law enforcement, two retired military, two work for the Department of Social Services and one for the State Board of Equalization. The cast also includes a Deputy District Attorney, two current or former City Council members, an ER nurse, a nursing student and a marriage and family therapist..

While they are not at work making the world a better place, they can be found singing, dancing, and acting their hearts out at practice! Their busy schedules have been adjusted to make room for the rigorous rehearsals a musical production requires; this particular play has been in the works since late April.

Curtains open on September 29 and the play runs through October 15.

Tickets are available now at the Soper Reese Theatre box office or on their website.
