Upper Lake High School’s Jacob Kalawaia waits for the touchdown signal from the official after blasting his way into the end zone Friday night against Rincon Valley Christian in North Central League III interlock action. Kalawaia rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns in the Cougars’ 48-40 victory. The down-to-the-wire thriller was historic as well as exciting as it was the first home night game in Upper Lake history.
