Gary Deas, Mr. Lake County, and Miss Lake County Faith Hornby appear relieved at the end of the pie eating competition at Saturday’s Kelseyville Pear Festival. A panel of local celebrity contestants had to eat as much pear pie as possible, without using their hands. The event served as a fundraiser. Deas was named the winner, with his funds going to support Worldwide Healing Hands. Hornby was eating for Operation Tango Mike. – Bob Minenna
