LAKEPORT >> Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on stage? Don’t miss this chance to perform with Lake County Theatre Company’s Christmas comedy, Dashing Through the Snow. This warm and funny celebration of the Christmas Spirit needs at least six women and two men to bring love, laughter and joy to the Snowflake Inn, a small cozy bed and breakfast in Tinsel, Texas.
That last opportunity to audition is today at 11 a.m.
The story unfolds four days before Christmas when Trina, the innkeeper, has more than she can handle with her nuttier-than-fruitcake lodgers. There are family reunions, touring carolers, and a special appearance by Mrs. Claus. A spur-of-the moment Christmas Eve wedding brings the hilarity to a climax and changes everyone’s lives forever.
This comedy was written by the team of Jones, Hope and Wooten, authors of the Fayro series. Larry Richardson, Lake County’s popular comedic actor, will direct. Performances will be the first three weekends in December at the Lower Lake School House Museum. No experience or preparation is needed to be part of this production, but it is not appropriate for children.
