UPPER LAKE >> The Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon are hosting a Whiskey Celebration October 28 to November 30. The two venues will feature whiskey experts, special events, infused cocktails and spiked bites throughout the month.
Whiskey is a growing passion for people across the nation. Distilleries are the new microbreweries, cropping up all over the West with makers creating brands that emulate their predecessors. Whiskeys of yesterday were produced in copper stills and served in local saloons. Today, craft distillers and small batch producers are doing much of the same.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste an array of whiskeys, learn the history of spirit and participate in fun, educational events.

The celebration begins October 28th with a series of opening events featuring special Guests Sherry Monahan & Jane Perkins, authors of the book The Golden Elixir of the West: Whiskey and the Shaping of America.

A distilling exploration of rye whiskeys with Crispin Cain of Low Gap Whiskey
