A fully involved vehicle fire snarled traffic on the Mendocino County side of the Hopland Grade on Thursday around 11:45 a.m. Units from Hopland and Cal Fire responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze before it could spread to nearby wildland. The fire took place near a pullout next to a temporary traffic signal. Traffic was backed up in both directions as crews fought the fire.
