Crews from the Lakeport Fire Protection District quickly responded to a 10-by-20 acre fire off northbound Highway 29, near Berry Street in Lakeport on Wednesday afternoon. The fire was contained before it could threaten any neighborhoods. Fire and law enforcement personnel remind the public that fire season is not over and to remain precautions.
