Habitat for Humanity Lake County held the groundbreaking ceremony for Alberto Torrez and Angelica Guerrero at their property in Lower Lake on Wednesday. When the Clayton fire claimed their home in 2016, they turned to Habitat for Humanity to help them rebuild. Joined by Habitat staff, the family watched as Father Bernard of Queen of Peace parish blessed the ground, the family, and the crews who will aid in rebuilding the family’s home. For those interested in assisting with the build, in providing lunches for the work crews, or in donating to this and other Habitat homes, contact Habitat for Humanity at 707-994-1100. – contributed photo
