At Lakeport, Ulysis Valencia scored all three of Clear Lake’s goals, all of them coming in the first half as the Cardinals grabbed a 3-0 halftime lead, but the Fort Bragg Timberwolves rallied with four second-half goals to win this NCL I game.

“They got very physical with us,” Clear Lake coach Shaun Hornby said of the Timberwolves, who were issued several yellow cards.

“And they probably should have gotten a few red ones,” Hornby added.

Three Clear Lake starters had to leave the field with injuries and even Valencia was banged up before it was over although he remained in the game.

Clear Lake falls to 4-7-1 in league and 5-7-1 overall. The Cardinals host Kelseyville on Tuesday and Cloverdale on Thursday to close out league play.
