Christmas coming to Kelseyville
Just enough time for you to think about what you want to decorate with all of your old colorful Christmas lights or a bunch of new ones! The Kelseyville Business Association is getting excited about decorating the town and creating that wonderful holiday feeling that we all enjoy so much as we celebrate the oldest and largest Parade of Lights in Lake County! This year it is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1.
Line up for the parade is at Gard St. School and begins at 5 p.m. with the parade moving down Main St. at 6:30 p.m. Cars, trucks, boats and float, horses, wagons and groups representing the community are all welcome as long as they refrain from throwing candy which will draw children out into the street and put them in harm’s way. The association would also ask that you not provide business cards or flyers that will all too likely wind up as trash in the street on Saturday morning.
It costs nothing to participate and it may be the most fun you get to have before the holiday madness sets in! Mary Morse at Kelseyville Appliance (right across from Kelseyville Lumber) is happy to provide and accept your completed application. Stop in any weekday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or call her at 279-8559.
