KELSEYVILLE >> It’s November, which means set your clocks back Saturday night and be on time for the Fiddlers Jam held in the barn at Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum.
It will nice and dry in the barn and the fiddlers are ready to play some music for you to enjoy and sing along. Stage Stop volunteers have put together a fall basket for the monthly raffle. They also have a quilt with raffle tickets available for purchase. The quilt winner will be drawn at the annual meeting in November 2018 to give the Historical Society more time to share the quilt with museum guests.
The Lake County Historical Society’s Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is located at 9921 State Hwy. 281 (Soda Bay Road) in Kelseyville, near Clearlake Riviera, just north of Hwy. 29 — Kit’s Corner. Current hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday.
Fiddlers’ Jams occur the first Sunday of every month from noon until 2 p.m.
Private tours can be arranged by appointment.
If you can spare just a few hours a month, the Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum welcomes you to become a docent to greet visitors and share information on history, current displays and planned events. Volunteers for maintenance and construction projects are also needed.
