KELSEYVILLE >> Kick off the holiday season with the 27th Annual Kelseyville Christmas in the Country, Merchant Open House and Parade of Lights, sponsored by the Kelseyville Business Association, on Friday December 1, 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Main Street.

Join in an evening of holiday decorations and Christmas music where the scents of the season mingle in the crisp air as you enjoy a free horse drawn carriage ride by Live Oak Belgians in the relaxed country atmosphere.

Come at 5:30 p.m. and discover the friendly country town, greeting old friends and meeting some new friends. The Main Street Merchants will welcome you in to their stores to enjoy holiday treats,hot cider and cocoa, as you stroll through town with Christmas music filling the air and smiling happy faces everywhere.

The largest and oldest light parade in Lake County will begin at 6:30 p.m., with Santa leading the parade, followed by the town tree lighting at the Kelseyville Firehouse.

Santa will be in Westamerica Bank across the street with music by the Bridge Band and a visit and photo with Santa.

Kelseyville Presbyterian Church will have their famous Chowder and Chili Dinner, St. Peter’s Church will have hot dogs, beans, tamales and other goodies, Kelseyville Methodist Church will have music and treats. The Sawshop Gallery Bistro will have a miniature quilt display.
