Kelseyville High School senior Yareli Lozano will be among the featured Lake County runners competing Saturday in the North Coast Section Championships at Hayward High School. Lozano, the Lake County champion this season and the third-place finisher at the recent Coastal Mountain Conference Championships in Point Arena, is part of the 11-runner-strong Kelseyville contingent headed to Hayward. Middletown is also sending 14 runners. Both schools compete in Division V. The Division V girls race kicks off the day’s action at 8:30 a.m. and the Division V boys race is at 9:35 a.m. The top six teams in Division V girls advance to the CIF State Championships as do the top five runners who are not members of the top six teams provided they place in the top 20. The top five boys teams in Division V advance to state along with the top five runners who are not members of the top five teams provided they place in the top 18.
