KELSEYVILLE >> Tonight the Reggae Roots band Higher Logic Project will be playing at the Kelseyville Lions Club, 4335 Sylar Lane, Kelseyville from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. HLP combines talents of traditional Reggae with classic rock and funk.
The event is a Harvest Party Fundraiser for KPFZ, Lake County Community Radio. The station broadcasts in Lake County and beyond at KPFZ-FM 88.1 and on the web www.kpfz.org.
Band leader Dooby Logic has relocated to Lake County from Santa Barbara where he performed with Fuzzy Logic. Their album “Tune In” features Pato Banton and top-ranking professional musicians. Frank Frazza from Cleveland, and now Kelseyville, brings in classic rock and funk.
HLP artists sing and write most of their songs. They don’t do what everyone is doing, instead creatively combining their different styles and strengths.
Working with Producer Gary Cambra, of Butterfly House Recording Studio in Clearlake, the Higher Logic Project has “had a chance to come together in an uplifting movement of consciousness,” says Logic. On their new self-titled CD “The Higher Logic Project,” listen to “Realize” and know “we have to take responsibility for our own destiny.”
The fundraiser will offer beverages, a no-host bar, snacks and raffle opportunities. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $18, $15 for KPFZ members.
