LAKEPORT >> Auditions for the Lake County Theatre Company’s spring production are just around the corner.
Based on George Orwell’s satirical novel, “Animal Farm,” the play demonstrates what happens when well-intentioned people try to create a perfect society, but end up abusing their power. This story reveals how any political and economic system can become corrupt and oppressive. While the play definitely has a serious, thought-provoking message, there is plenty of room for humor and laughter.
There are 18 roles (doubling possible) available for males or females of any age. No previous experience or preparation required; newcomers are welcomed to join.
Auditions will be held December 4, 7, and 11 at 6 p.m. at the United Christian Parish Church at 745 Brush Street, Lakeport. The play will be held the last three weekends of March. For more information, contact director Tim Barnes at 972-5787 or via email at timbarneslctc@yahoo.com.
