LOWER LAKE >> Lake County Theatre Company’s Christmas show, “Dashing Through the Snow,” opens December 1, 2017 at the Weaver Auditorium in Lower Lake. This delightful holiday comedy brings back the popular Futrelle sisters from previous LCTC comedies, but in a new locale, the Snowflake Inn.

The play is set at a bed and breakfast in Tinsel, Texas. The innkeeper, Trina Walcott, believes Christmas should be celebrated every day of the year. True to Texas tradition, the inn is decked from door to door with holiday regalia, but even an over-dressed, festive inn is no match for the parade of eccentric guests.

Each scene reminds us of many of our favorite Christmas themes. Mrs. Claus arrives for a tryst with one of Santa’s elves. Two curmudgeonly elderly sisters who have been feuding for decades are thrown together to satisfy their nephew’s vision of heavenly peace. Members of a traveling troupe sneak in bedecked in their Christmas Carol costumes to remind us that we could find ashes in our Christmas stockings.

The Futrelle sisters along with angelic Raynerd stage another wedding for Honey Raye. These characters are guaranteed to bring joy to all.

Don’t miss this chance to see many favorite local actors that have appeared in the Producers and Shakespeare at the Lake as well as new faces. Shows are the first three weekends in December at the Lower Lake School house Museum. Tickets are available at the Game Hub in Lower Lake, Soap Shack Baby in Lakeport or online at lctc.us. Call (707) 367-8179 for more information.
