Gray foxes are common throughout Lake County but it’s rare to actually get close enough to one to touch it. Gary Hill of Kelseyville was visiting Clear Lake State Park last week when he observed a distressed gray fox sitting alongside the road. Hill stopped his vehicle and picked up the fox and transported it the gate at the park. The park attendants attempted to contact an animal rescue group but were unable to do so. They ended up releasing the fox back into the nearby woods.
