LAKEPORT >> Mark your calendars for a Sulphur Fire Benefit Concert on Saturday, February 3 at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport. From 7 to 10 p.m., The Guitarsonists will be rocking the blues, so you’ll want to wear your dancing shoes! The band consists of 3 high energy guitarists who have played Lake County. Chris Cain brought down the house at the 2016 Blue Wing Blues Festival, along with bass player Steve Evans and drummer Mick Mestek, who are also part of The Guitarsonists. Mighty Mike Schermer likes to include the Blue Wing Saloon on his trips from Austin, TX. He also headlined the Valley Fire Tribute Concert at Ely Stage Stop in September 2016. Bay Area guitarist Daniel Castro has played Concerts in the Park in Lakeport on several occasions to great acclaim.
