LOWER LAKE >> Lake County Theatre Company is bringing back the hilarious and outrageous Futrelle sisters for their Christmas production, Dashing Through the Snow. You may remember these cantankerous gals from Fayro, Texas in past productions as they remind us of what it means to be family and part of a small community.
Sisters Honey Raye, Twink, Frankie and Rhonda Lynn are at the Snowflake Inn in Tinsel, Texas for Honey Raye’s sixth time down the aisle. Or is it her fifth since she is remarrying number two? Raynerd, played by Joey Luiz, is back with his usual simplistic interpretation of life’s problems, which can all be solved by the joys of Christmas.
Michele Chapman will be providing an encore performance as Honey Raye, as will Sue Garrett as Rhonda Lynn. June Wilson-Clarkin spices up the role of Frankie. Cindy Sobel makes a wonderful Twink as she bemoans the fact that Honey Raye’s fiancé makes passes at everyone, but her.
Dashing Through the Snow is a family-friendly comedy by Jones, Hope and Wooten and is more fun than a joyride in a one-horse open sleigh. Shows are in the Weaver Auditorium in Lower Lake on Dec. 1, 2, 9, 15, and 16 at 7 p.m. and on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the Game Hub in Lower Lake, Soap Shack Baby in Lakeport or at lctc.us.
