UPPER LAKE >> Five Upper Lake High School boys and two girls have been honored by their respective leagues for outstanding play during the recently completed 2017 season.
For the Upper Lake boys, members of the North Central League III, All-League first-team honors went to senior Josh Williams. Receiving second-team honors were senior Bailee Byrd and freshman Pedtro Alvarado. Honorable mentions went to sophomore Jason Martinez and junior Eduardo Mendoza.
For the Upper Lake girls, members of the North Central League II, senior Julia Mooney was named to the All-League second team while senior Nastasia Cullen received an honorable mention.
Upper Lake’s boys, under the direction of second-year coach Kevin O’Brien, finished 7-13 and qualified for the North Coast Section playoffs. Upper Lake’s girls, who were led by first-year coach Daniella Santana, finished 6-16.
