HEALDSBURG >> The Middletown High School wrestling team went 2-3 during the Healdsburg Duals on Saturday at Smith Robinson Gym in Healdsburg.

Middletown beat Woodland 51-18 and Stuart Hall 39-21 and just missed against Fortuna, dropping a 43-42 decision that came down to a criteria tiebreaker. The Mustangs also lost 60-12 to Central and 51-30 to Cardinal Newman.

Jared Pyzer went 3-1 at 182 pounds for Middletown and teammates Quentin Crayne (145) and Blake Schuster (132) each went 3-2. A.J. Leggitt went 1-1 in the heavyweight division.

The Middletown boys are off until the annual Dennis Jensen Tournament on Jan. 5-6 in Middletown.
