CLEARLAKE >> The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently gave Meadowood Nursing Center in Clearlake a five-star rating for providing high-quality care to their residents.

Meadowood is a 99-bed facility and a Bronze National Quality Award recipient.

Meadowood staff issued a statement following the announcement that said, in part, “[We] pride ourselves in our staff giving our residents quality of life, and where ‘love is spoken here.’ Our mission and vision statement is a commitment to provide the highest quality of life to each resident.”

The statement went on to say the staff remain dedicated to assisting each person to achieve his or her maximum level of dignity and independence.

“To receive a five-star rating is the most rewarding honor; it confirms that the quality of care our staff provides rank among the best,” Meadowood Director Cheryl Cole said. “All of the staff worked very hard to get to this point, and I couldn’t be more proud.”
