Over 150 people showed up on New Year’s Day to participate in the fifth annual First Day Hike at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park near Lower Lake. The hike is part of America’s State Parks First Day Hikes Program and has brought out over 100 people each year it has been held at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park. The event offers families and individuals an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike on January 1. Pictured here are 95 of the over 150 people who attended. Helping to lead and organize the walk were members of the Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association (AMIA) and local State Park Rangers. – Contributed photo
