Town Hall
You are invited to the next meeting of the Western Regional Town Hall, February 9, 5 p.m. -6:30 p.m. at the Habematolel Tribal Meeting Room, 9460 Main Street, Upper Lake. Supervisor Jim Steel will be on hand to answer your questions.
Attendees will hear a report on a Dollar Store in Upper Lake, Proposition ‘E’, Fire Risk Reduction, Trash Collection, and other items.
The regional town hall includes residents of Pillsbury and Blue Lakes areas, Nice, and Upper Lake, but everyone is invited.
Sweetheart Tea Fund Raiser
The Kelseyville Beta Sigma Phi chapter is hosting a Sweetheart Tea fund raiser to benefit the Kelseyville High School music department and fund scholarships for the high school seniors. The event will be on February 10 from noon-2 p.m. at the KHS Student Center located at 5480 Main St. in Kelseyville.
The formal tea menu will include Spring mix sandwich, English cucumber, hard boiled egg & pesto vegetable sandwich, turkey lettuce wrap, humus cup with vegetables, English breakfast tea, scones, clotted cream, lemon curd, and assorted sweet treats.
The KHS jazz band and choir will be providing the entertainment and there will also be raffle prizes donated by local merchants.
Advance tickets are $20 or $25. at the door for ages 13 and up, and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased from KHS music students, or contact Michelle Meese for tickets at 707-533-9676, mfinster007@yahoo.com.
Fields of Dreams under the Lights of Love Fundraiser
A fundraiser to improve the Upper Lake High School stadium is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Northshore Event Center on Highway 20 in Nice. The buffet-style dinner menu will consist of Tri Tip or chicken and will be served from 6-7:30 p.m., with happy hour beginning at 5 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 6-8 p.m. The indoor poker run will be played from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Anthony Fernandez will be the DJ and will play dance music from 8-11 p.m. For more information, contact Melanie Sneathe at 707-349-4226 or Ron Raetz at 707-275-2824.
Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild
The meet is on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Lakeport Senior Center, 527 Konocti Ave., starting at 10 a.m. Pattie Klimek will lecture about Crazy Quilts-Today and Yesterday. For more information, call 707-459-3903.
American Legion Post 437 Breakfast
Food served is bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. All served for $8. The February Special is ham scramble. The breakfast will take place on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at 14770 Austin Rd. Clearlake. Call 707-994-3677 for more information.
Lucerne Town Hall Council
The next meeting of the Lucerne Town Hall Council will be held Feb. 14 at the Lucerne Senior Center, 3895 Country Club Dr., Lucerne, at 6 p.m.
