Shelby Ingham takes her cuts at the plate Thursday during a Clear Lake High School softball practice in Lakeport. The Cardinals see their first action Feb. 24 in a scrimmage at Ukiah. Their first official game isn’t until March 8 against El Molino in Forestville and their first home game is March 15 against Ukiah. Clear Lake is looking to improve on last year’s 13-12 overall record, including a 7-7 record in the North Central League I standings.
