FINLEY >> In association with Lake County Animal Assist and Rescue and Metalhedz Promotions, StarShine Entertainment presents Fire on the Mountain, an all-star concert open to all ages. This benefit concert will be held from 4 p.m. until possibly midnight on Sunday, February 18 at the Big Valley Hall, 1510 Big Valley Rd at the corner of Finley and Lakeport.

Fire on the Mountain is a community driven gathering to help Laureen Lee and her family rebound from the Sulphur Fire. Laureen is a volunteer KPFZ radio programmer known for educating the community about the benefits of natural health remedies. During the Valley and Clayton fires, she offered free natural health clinics and provided healthy food at evacuation centers. Laureen was in the process of completing her PhD in natural and integrative medicine when she lost her home and natural medicine supplies in the Sulphur Fire.

Entertainment will feature coffee shop style music, blues, classic rock, psychedelic blues and metal. Local county musicians include: DJ T Peng, Josh Souza, Vinny, Jerbear & Kaiyah, Hearts and Bones, Baaaad Santa, Travis Rinker, HeLLaMeLLa, A Life in Exile and Stryk9. After hearing of Laureen’s loss, her lifelong friend Lucky Otis inspired her sister and friends to hold a benefit concert on Valentine’s Day weekend. Lucky is the son of Shuggie Otis and grandson of blues and big band era legend Johnny Otis and will be coming from Los Angeles to play the concert. Alex Blas will also be displaying his art and donating a piece to the silent auction.

Requested donation at the door is $10. Bring additional cash for the silent auction, local beer & wine, and food by Victoria’s NextPhase Cafe. For more information call: 707-272-1136 or 707-800-9799.
