On Saturday, 21 organizations and individuals were named the 2018 Stars of Lake County. One recipient, in the only category chosen by the Stars selection committee rather than nominated, received the Spirit of Lake County Award: The Soroptimist International of Clear Lake. The Lake County chapter is known for raising thousands of dollars for local nonprofits, fire victims, homeless mothers, and more.
