HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE >> Last week, Coyote Valley Elementary School in Hidden Valley Lake held its 2018 Career Day. Each with a folder containing a resume and job application, 5th and 6th graders had the opportunity to select and research their dream career for a chance to get interviewed by someone in the field. Over 20 local professionals including law enforcement officers, a lawyer, veterinarian, mechanic, actor, teacher, and interior designer. Special education students also had the chance to participate. While interviews took place, Clearlake Mayor Bruno Sabatier visited classrooms to talk about college preparation. Each student received a certificate for their efforts. Career Day, organized by 5th-grade teacher Davina Pyzer, happens every other two years at the school.
