Shanda Harry has scheduled two events to kick off her campaign for Superior Court Judge. The first will take place on March 10 in Nice, with a second set for March 11 in Middletown, both from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend to learn more about Harry, her roots in Lake County, her experience and her suitability for the judicial position.

The North Shore event will be held at the North Shore Event Center, 2817 E Hwy 20 in Nice. The South County event will be held at the Middletown Art Center, 21456 Hwy 175 in Middletown.

“I am delighted that I will have an opportunity to meet as many people as possible to discuss the role of a Superior Court Judge in Lake County, share my broad experience and judicial philosophy, and explain why I am the best choice in this race,” said Harry.

There will be signups for volunteer slots that will need to be filled in the weeks ahead.

“Having the support of volunteers in all areas around the lake is key to getting my name out and expertise more broadly known,” Harry acknowledged. “I am extremely grateful to those who are already jumping in and providing enormous benefit.”

Harry has already received endorsements from many individuals, including former supervisor, Denise Rushing, long-term Kelseyville residents Peter and Kathy Windrem, and long-term environmental champions, Harry and Roberta Lyons.

Noted artist Ben Van Steenburgh III will be providing temporary tattoos to attendees and talented musician Scott Serena will be providing musical interludes. The events are free to the public and kid-friendly. Light refreshments will be served. Donations are gratefully accepted, but not required.
