Kortnie Reynolds (13) and Corin Alakszay (23) lead the Clear Lake Cardinals into action Saturday night against the Cloverdale Eagles in the quarterfinal round of the North Coast Section Division V girls basketball playoffs. Tip-off is 7 p.m. in Lakeport. Clear Lake (22-4) is the No. 4 seed in the Division V field while Cloverdale (20-6) is No. 5. The two teams tied for the North Central League I championship this season and split their two league meetings, each winning on its home floor. The winner advances to the semifinals next Wednesday against either No. 1 seed St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda or No. 8 Bentley of Lafayette. Clear Lake reached the quarterfinals with a 62-32 victory over Redwood Christian of San Lorenzo on Wednesday in Lakeport. Alakszay led the Cardinals with 19 points and Reynolds had 15.
