Register for Spring Has Sprung
Form a team of 4 or more people and register for the annual Spring Has Sprung 5K/10K. You may sign up as an individual, as well. Do so by March 22 and pay only $25 per adult entry. Entree includes tech shirt and lots of fun whether you are a walker, jogger or competitive runner.

You can also create a youth team (be sure to select “youth team” for proper pricing) and kids register for only $15 for the 5K/10K. Soccer Kids, Basket Ball Kids, Little League kids, create your teams and come out and compete!
Scout Carnival
The Lake County Annual Scout Carnival is Saturday, March 10 from noon to 5 p.m. at Fritch Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds. The Scout Carnival is a free-admission event and is open to everyone. There are games, food, cork guns, a bounce house, and many other activities. Tickets used to purchase food and games are $1 each and are good for $2 off at all pizza parlors in the county and entry into a raffle for many prizes including a car donated by Guy Strohmeier’s Auto Center. Tickets can be purchased from any Boy Scout or Cub Scout, or by going to Tutti Frutti in Lakeport.
Second Sunday breakfast relaunch
The Lakeport Senior Center is bringing back the Second Sunday breakfast as a brunch buffet with new hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. so that everybody can go to church and have lunch with us and support the community of seniors. Adults are $9 children 12 and under are $5. The senior center is located at 527 Konocti Avenue in Lakeport. For more information call 263-4218.
Clutterers Anonymous
Lake County’s only Clutterers Anonymous, a 12-step group, meets weekly in Lakeport at the United Christian Parish, 745N Brush St. Meetins are Thursdays, from noon-1 p.m. Clutterers Anonymous offers an opportunity to simplify one’s life, use Tools of Recovery, and move out of isolation into shared fellowship.
Land Trust hikes
The Lake County Land Trust offers hikes every 2nd and 4th Saturday at their signature property, the Rodman Preserve and Nature Center, at 6350 Westlake Road, Upper Lake. Hikes begin at 9 a.m., through the month of May. In the event of excessive rain or extremely wet conditions the hikes may be cancelled. Gambler’s Anonymous
Gambler’s Anonymous meeting every Thursday: 7:45-8:45 p.m. at 850 Lakeport Blvd., Lakeport, the NorthCoast Opportunities site.
Al-Anon Meetings
Al-Anon (for friends and families of problem drinkers/alcoholics) meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at North Coast Opportunities, 850 Lakeport Blvd.,Lakeport.
Park Study monthly meetings
Park Study Club meets at noon on the first Thursday of every month beginning in September and ending in May at the PSC Clubhouse. The club is open to new members and is dedicated to raising funds for scholarships, leadership training for local youth, provides the flag that flies over Austin Park, as well as aiding other local charities with volunteer time and donations.
