REDWOOD CITY >> Tanner Broyles and Catch Berton-Devore of Skycatch Gymnastics of Lakeport posted high finishes during the Nakamori Memorial Invitational on Saturday in Redwood City.
Broyles, 14, placed second in the high bar and sixth in all-around scoring while Berton-Devore, 15, came in third on the parallel bars and fifth in all-around scoring. Both gymnasts compete at Level 9 (on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest).
Broyles also placed fourth in the floor exercise and fifth on the pommel horse. Berton-Devore finished fourth on the rings and sixth in three other events.
Broyles and Berton-Devore close out their regular season this coming weekend in Pleasanton, then it’s off to the state championships on March 17 in Oroville.
