SANTA ROSA >> Middletown High School’s Colton Hall won the varsity boys discus on Saturday during the Big Cat Invitational at Santa Rosa High School.

Hall, a senior, was among a handful of Middletown athletes taking part in the event, which draws many of the top track and field athletes from the Redwood Empire. He won the discus with a throw of 127 feet, 4 inches. Hall also placed fourth in the discus with a toss of 38 feet, 3 ½ inches.

Kelsey Lemoine picked up a third in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 13.45 seconds. She was just one-hundredth of a second behind the second-place runner.

Also for Middletown, junior Taelor Roderick placed fifth in the shotput (29-5) and eighth in the discus (91-7).
