ROHNERT PARK >> Alex Adams went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, part of a 13-hit Clear Lake attack, as the Cardinals beat the Technology Titans 12-6 in non-league varsity baseball action on Monday afternoon in Rohnert Park.

Clear Lake (3-0) also beat Technology 12-1 on March 9 in Lakeport.

The Cardinals staked winning pitcher Darius Ford to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Ford pitched four-plus innings for the victory before giving way to the bullpen. He allowed five hits, five earned runs, struck out six and walked three.

“We got a good outing from Darius Ford,” Clear Lake assistant coach John Garrison said. “Most of the damage (against him) came in the fifth inning when they scored four runs. He got a little tired and wasn’t as sharp.”

Clear Lake broke the game open with a five-run top of the fifth that featured a two-run single by Adams and RBI singles from Issac Lewis, Kyle Davis and Josh Damiata.

“Alex Adams continues to hit the ball hard all over the yard,” Garrison said.

Lewis, Davis, JT Hansen had two hits apiece. Preston Jones went 1-for-5 with two RBIs.

Clear Lake’s next scheduled game is Friday against McKinleyville in the opening round of the Fort Bragg Tournament. First pitch is 1 p.m. The tournament runs through Saturday.
