Follow the trail of bass boats and you’ll find the official weigh scale for the 31st annual Clear Lake Team Tournament, which took place last weekend with tournament headquarters at the Konocti Vista Casino Marina near Lakeport. A field of 116 teams took part in this year’s tournament, matching the same number from a year earlier. Five-fish limits were common although the average weight per fish (2.6 pounds) was down from previous years (3.0 pounds). The winning team of brothers Jeff Noga of Arcata and Brian Noga of Katy, Texas, topped the field with 53.31 pounds, including the big fish of the tournament, a 10.23-pounder. Their total winnings came to $6,000.
