LAKEPORT >> Lakeport Senior Activity Center joins National Campaign March for Meals on Saturday, March 31.
“The services that we provide the seniors of Lakeport and Kelseyville are critical and the need is rapidly increasing, together, we can keep seniors living independently, healthier at home and feeling more connected to their community as they age.” Meals on Wheels are much more than a meal a day; it also gives us an opportunity to check in on our seniors, say hello and much more,” said Jonathan Crooks, Executive Director of the Lakeport Activity Center.
Walk begins at 11 a.m. at the Meals on Wheels Thrift Store corner of First and Main St., Lakeport for a walk down Main Street. Lakeport Lions Club will be selling Hot Dogs, sodas and chips to benefit Meals on Wheels program (weather permitting). Meals on Wheels Thrift Store will have a 50 percent off sale all day.
Support your seniors, donate to the Meals on Wheels walk upon sign in, no donation to small or large will be greatly appreciated. Volunteers are much in need to deliver meals, the senior center and Thrift store. Contact Jonathan Crooks, 263-4218.
