Flooded fields throughout the Redwood Empire are playing havoc with spring sports, especially baseball and softball. A couple of the casualties on Friday were the Fort Bragg Baseball Tournament (Clear Lake) and Cloverdale Softball Tournament (Kelseyville), along with a handful of non-league games. Most of the postponed games will be rescheduled sometime next month. Nearly a month’s worth of rain will finally give way to a round of spring-like weather next week when the forecast is for sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s and possibly even low 80s.
