There’s a long, long way to go in the North Central League I softball race, but the Middletown Mustangs are off to a 2-0 start for the first time in years and currently share first place with Cloverdale and defending champion Kelseyville. Middletown was scheduled to play at St. Helena on Friday, weathing permitting. The Mustangs return home Tuesday to play Lower Lake.
