MIDDLETOWN >> Redwood Caregiver Resource Center hosts a day devoted to support and educate family, community caregivers and professionals working with people with dementia on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guest speakers include Wynnelena Canio, MD, CMD and Alexis Glidewell, LCSW, with the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Kaiser Permanente. They will present “The Continuum of Dementia Care: From Diagnosis to Comprehensive Management” and “Communication Strategies for Remaining Connected to a Person with Dementia.”

The event will be held at the Middletown Senior Center Library, located at 21256 Washington Street. There is a suggested donation of $10, with either cash or checks made out to Redwood CRC. A light lunch will be provided. To register contact Marsha at 800-834-1636 x100 or email mxm@redwoodcrc.org.

Redwood Caregiver Resource Center will provide grants for respite care for family caregivers

who need it to attend. Requests for respite must be made by April 13.
