KELSEYVILLE >> The Coffee House Concert Series is proud to present two nationally renowned recording artists at the May 12 event in Kelseyville. Musicians Chris Webster and Nina Gerber will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 at the Fore Family Winery Tasting Room at 3920 Main Street in Kelseyville.

Webster is a soul singer beyond genre. In the course of recording over 20 albums on her own and with others, she has drawn equally from classic R&B thumpers and gospel-grass prayers, from rockabilly rave-ups and singer/songwriter confessions. Webster’s work is rooted in the classic American tension between a yearning for transcendence and a lusty connection to the here-and-now.

Gerber and Webster have been playing together for over 25 years. Recently they recorded a new album, “Apple Blossom Lane.” Gerber will join Webster to share their passion for music that transcends genre. Of their performance, Webster says she “loves the idea of sharing music with a community of people, enjoying their spirit and sharing some peaceful time together.”

This Coffee House Concert is another in a series presented by the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County. Tickets are $25 each, and are available at Watershed Books in Lakeport, online at uuclc.org, and at the door. Seating is limited, and the event will sell out.
