Lower Lake High School junior Bryson Trask is taking the Redwood Empire by storm this track season in the discus. Trask ranks first by a wide margin in the event with a season-best throw of 159 feet, 9 inches. The next best throw by his competition is 147-10. Trask is also among Redwood Empire leaders in the shotput with a toss of 43-7 3/4. During a home track meet on Wednesday, he easily won both events with marks of 149-0 in the discus and 43-3 in the shotput. Trask returns to action Monday in the Lake County Meet at Middletown High School. After that he’ll take part in the Coastal Mountain Conference Championshps on May 12 in St. Helena.
