Finley man, Robert Jay Goodrich, 67, pled guilty to driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit of .08. He did not in custody appear at a recent disposition hearing.

Last month Goodrich was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail for driving under the influence and causing bodily injuries after a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Lakeport Boulevard.

According to the Lakeport Police Department, the driver failed to make a stop at the intersection, causing him to rear end the car in front, then causing that car to collide with another at the intersection. The driver in the middle vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital for head and neck injuries.

Goodrich’s blood-alcohol level was .16, twice the legal limit and he was sentenced to three years’ summary probation and ordered to serve 20 days in the Lake County Jail, receiving five days of jail credits. He is also ordered to register into a three-month DUI program.

The defendant is ordered to remand to the Lake County Jail on June 13.
