MIDDLETOWN >> Isaac Perez tossed a one-hit shutout in the first game and Will Aden connected for a two-run homer in game two as the Middletown Mustangs swept the Willits Wolverines 11-0 and 15-4 in a pair of five-inning North Central League I junior varsity baseball contests on Friday afternoon in Middletown.

Middletown is now 9-1 in league and 19-1 overall with two games remaining – Tuesday at Kelseyville and Wednesday at St. Helena.

Perez struck out five and walked one in the opener of the doubleheader. He allowed a single to start the game but held the Wolverines hitless the rest of the way.

Nico Barrio went 3-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs to spark the Middletown offense. Aden and Tanner Pachie each had two hits.

In the second game, Aden’s home run and two hits apiece from Barrio, Pachie and Isaac Perez propelled the Mustangs. Hunter Blair added a triple.

Cameron Luis worked the first two innings for the victory. Jimmy Rockwell relieved and struck out seven over the final three innings.
