LAKE COUNTY >> Candidate for Lake County District Attorney Susan Krones responds to an unauthorized flier after she and members of the community allegedly received via mail.
Krones received one of the messages in the mail on Thursday, May 24. It is unknown who the sender is or how many fliers have been sent out. The flier is completely unauthorized by her campaign, according to campaign organizers.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Krones states:
“As a Veteran and public servant, I have always been proud of behaving with honor and rectitude, as my oaths of office require. Let me make this very clear. I condemn the flier and whoever sent it out. I would never engage in this type of negative politics. I was appalled when I received a copy in the mail. I have notified the Lake County Registrar of Voters of this anonymous flier and I will ask that a copy be forwarded to the Secretary of State, Fair Political Practices Commission, in the hopes that they can track down whoever sent out this flier.”
