LAKEPORT >> The Memorial Day weekend drew a packed house with two full days of racing action at the quarter-mile Lakeport Speedway in Lakeport.
The action on Sunday featured bandoleros, Pro Jammers, Junior Jammers, bombers, Legends of the Pacific, jalopies and boat races.
Bandoleros
Billy Ray was out in front all night in the bandoleros division. He won the trophy dash, heat race and main event. In the feature, he took the checkered flag in front of TJ Sorrels, Charles French and his sister, Hannah Ray, who also finished second behind her brother in the trophy dash.
Pro Jammers
Raymond Taylor Jr. won the trophy dash in the Pro Jammers division while Bo Robertson finished first in the heat race. In the main event, Taylor Jr. took home the trophy, Raymond Taylor Sr. came in second, Robertson was third, Rick Anable came in fourth, and Anthony Beno was fifth.
Jr. Jammers
In the Junior Jammer division, Kylei Keown took top honors in the heat race and the main event. Christian Sanchez finished second in the main event.
Bombers
Erick Ray captured the trophy dash in the bombers class while Andrew Snider won the heat race and the main event. In the feature, Snider crossed the finish line in front of Trevor Kollenborn, Lauren Snider, Jeff French and Ray.
Legends
In Legends of Pacific action, Cody Winchel recovered from his crash on Saturday night to rejoin the field and he won the heat race. The trophy dash went to Matthew Winfrey while Chad Nascimento took top honors in the main event, finishing ahead of Winchel, Petey Soto, Winfrey and Dylan Washburn.
Jalopies
Wayne Hunt came home with another trophy dash win in the jalopies division and he also won the first heat race. Ashley Aceves won the second heat race. In the main event, Valicia Catching took the checkered flag in front of Jack Schleif, Johnny Barker, Casey Crawford and Laura Hunt.
Boat races
Brandon Mendenhall won the boat race.
Saturday’s results
Pro Jammers
Dennis Anderson won the Pro Jammers heat race in Saturday action while Raymond Taylor Jr. won the trophy dash. Brandi Robertson claimed the victory in the main event followed by Elizabeth Ingalls, Dennis Anderson and Raymond Taylor Jr.
Jr. Jammers
Kylei Keown won the heat race in the Junior Jammers class. Trophy dash honors went to Christian Sanchez. In the main event, Keown grabbed the early lead and took the win in front of Christian Sanchez, Joshua Smalls and Zack Gard.
Lakeport modifieds
Shelby Helm won the Lakeport modifieds trophy dash while Kevin Coburn came in first in the heat race.
In the main event, Kevin Coburn jumped in the early lead and battled Richard Knight for the next 10 laps. With one lap to go, Coburn and Knight made contact and Sierra Furia dove under both to take home the win. Knight ended up in second place, Coburn was third, Shelby Helm came in fourth and Cole Brown was fifth.
Bombers
Lauren Snider dominated the bomber action Saturday night. He won the trophy dash, heat race and the main event. In the feature, the finishing order was Snider, Erick Ray, Trevor Kollenborn, Jimbo Kollenborn and Trevor Abella.
Legends
There was a full field of 11 cars in the Legends of the Pacific division on Saturday night. Nick Halen claimed the trophy dash, Chad Nascimento won the first heat race, and Petey Soto won the second heat race.
A wreck took out the cars of Cody Winchel and Nick Halen early in the main event. Matthew Winfrey went on to take the checkered flag in front of Jadon Fisher, Nascimento, Soto and Keith Clement.
Jalopies
Wayne Hunt wont he trophy dash in jalopies action on Saturday. Heat race wins went to both Hunt and Catching. In the main event, David Aceves took the checkered flag in front of Harley Tarrant, William Byrne, Wayne Hunt and Jack Schleif.
