UPPER LAKE >> Upper Lake High School’s softball squad landed three players on the All-North Central League II first team as recently selected by a vote of the league’s coaches.

While Upper Lake finished only 4-4 in the NCL II standings this season, the Cougars still ended up with six All-Leaguers, including first-team selections Julia Mooney and Adrianna Saldana, both seniors, and junior Cheyanne Obedoza.

Earning All-League second-team honors were sophomore Mallory Henry and junior Katlyn Minnis. Molly McCabe, a freshman, received an honorable mention.

League champion St. Vincent dominated the All-League selections with nine players honored, including most valuable player Sully Henry, a junior pitcher.

On the All-NCL II baseball squad, Upper Lake’s two honorees were first-team selection Dalton Slater, a sophomore, and second-team selection Armando Santos, a junior.

Upper Lake finished 1-13 in league play.

League MVP honors went to Sonoma Academy’s Oscar McCauley.

NCL II champion St. Vincent dominated the All-League selections with eight players honored.
