LAKEPORT >> The Lake County Silver Foundation Board of Directors invites all seniors to attend the 2nd annual Senior Summit on Saturday, June 23, from 9 a.m. — 4 p.m., at the Konocti Vista Resort and Casino, 2755 Mission Rancheria Rd. in Lakeport.

The summit is free to seniors 62 years of age and above who register by June 18. Attendants accompanying seniors should also register. The cost for non-seniors is $10.

“As an early registration incentive, the first 200 to register will receive a nice conference bag and pen,” said Foundation President and County Supervisor Jim Steele. “Last year the event attracted more than 250 seniors and we expect at least that number again this year. With an event of this size, it’s important to register as early as possible in order for our conference organizers to plan seating and food.”

The all-day event includes keynote speakers, inspirational senior awards, lunch, vendor booths, workshops and raffles.

Vendor booth opportunities are also available. This year the vendor fair is being hosted by Hospice Services of Lake County. For information on how to secure a booth, contact Kristy Weiss at 707-263-6270, extension 111 or by email at: kweiss@lakecountyhospice.org.

The preferred method of registration is online at: lakecountysilverfoundation.com. The homepage will direct you to the registration forms as well as other information about the conference including how to nominate an “inspirational senior” for this year’s summit.

Anyone who needs help with the registration process may contact the conference organizer at 707-998-1302. Hard copy registration forms are also available at local senior centers. Conference volunteers will be available at designated times at the centers to help register anyone who does not have access to a computer.

Registrations at the door will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. For those who register after the June 18 deadline, either online or at the door, the cost will be $10, regardless of age.

The Senior Summit is a project of the Lake County Silver Foundation. The Foundation was created to raise funds to help fill the gaps existing at local Senior Centers and other nonprofits that provide services and programs for Lake County’s seniors and elders. The Foundation is a non-profit, fully tax-exempt entity. Donations of any amount can be made online at the Foundation’s website.

For more information about the Foundation or the Senior Summit visit the Foundation website at lakecountysilverfoundation.com or call 707-998-1302.
