KELSEYVILLE >> With the 2018 commencement ceremony at Kelseyville High School underway, the administration has announced its annual fireworks display will be held at the end of the celebration. The graduation, to take place at 5480 Main St, Kelseyville, is scheduled for Friday, June 15 at 8 p.m. According to Principal Matt Cockerton, the pyrotechnic show will start at approximately 9:20 p.m. at the school’s football field. “This activity has been a tradition since 2000,” said Cockerton. The display will take place over a five-minute period, according to the principal, but residents are advised to make the necessary precautions with pets that might be sensitive to the noise. Cockerton adds that KHS has worked with local police and fire agencies to take the necessary steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all. The event was reported to have been paid for through the fundraising efforts of the Class of 2018.
